last week there was an AI project circulating about "PredCon" with To Catch A Predator pedos signing autographs, and we have managed to normalize the acceptance of pedophilia so much that for a moment folks thought PredCon was real. this is our new reality. everything is acceptable if it isn't directly our problem which is exactly the reason I went off on Libes, I am done being a bystander to shitty behavior just because everyone else is comfortable in their discomfort.
yup. honestly i can never be an anime hater because A) child of adult swim B) the core message of “NEVER GIVE UP, BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF HOPE AND FRIENDSHIP EVEN IF IT KILLS YOU!” is so powerfully pro-human and love that immediately suspect skinwalker status of those that have seen The Good Ones and still lambast the genre conceptually. i pride myself on having litmus tests along all axes and this is a big one (imageboard culture had no influence on me i am very normal).

i keep seeing more and more stand alone complexes of just decent people being rad and it gives me hope. none of this will be easy but we should still try to have fun. ‘s what i learned from the internet when the internet was scary; if you do something because you enjoy it, you’re basically fucking unstoppable.
